About Ben

Ben’s path to a leadership role was unconventional but entertaining. A native of Rhode Island, Ben ran away and joined the circus - no, really. And he’s glad her did - that’s where he met his wife Deidre, a musician. After years managing the technical elements of theatrical productions in New York City Ben pursued his passion and journeyed to get paid to fly. After years of flying for pleasure, Ben landed a career in aviation where he flew as a Part 135 Capain and was the Chief Instructor of a large collegiate Part 141 program in New York. It was there that he gained a positively solid reputation with the local FSDO and was invited to join the FAA team. Ben served as a Principal Operations Inspector before moving to a FAASTeam Program Manager position with the FAA Safety Team.

Ben has served as a Vice President for Chapter NE3 since 2015. Ben has served as both delegated and Principal Representative, was the Eastern Regional Business Agent prior to his selection by the PASS Executive Board to serve as Region IV Vice President.

Ben lives in Brooklyn with Deidre, their two daughters, Mirabelle & Clover., and their three cats, Bemsha, Kelby, & Judy.
